Local merchants can now accept all types of contactless payments with just an iPhone and Viva.com’s Terminal app. No external card reader or payment hardware is required - just a simple tap on an iPhone. The service is rolled out simultaneously in Belgium, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, Luxembourg, and Malta, extending the reach of Tap to Pay on iPhone with Viva.com’s Terminal app to 22 European countries - one of the broadest geographical footprints for the service to date.

The service supports major international card schemes - Mastercard, Visa, American Express, Discover, and Diners - and works via Viva.com’s Terminal iOS app on iPhone XS or later running the latest iOS version.

Apple’s Tap to Pay on iPhone technology uses the built-in features of iPhone to keep the customer data private and secure. When payment is processed, Apple doesn’t store card numbers or transaction information on Apple servers.*
