Viva Wallet is the 1st Greek bank to offer the creation of an IBAN account in just one minute without the paperwork!

Viva Wallet is the 1st Greek bank to enable its clients to create an IBAN account and as many digital cards for free, without providing any documentation. All that is required is their ID and their TAXISnet credentials.

How it works:

Through the Viva Wallet app on their mobile, the customer selects «Create an account with no documents via EGov» and logs in using their TAXISnet credentials.
The verification process is completed simply by showing the ID via a video call!

Now, anyone can easily create an account for everyday use or additional accounts, along with debit cards for online shopping, kid’s pocket money, groceries, or money needed for children studying in another city etc.

Furthermore, Viva Wallet customers can add their digital debit cards to Apple Pay & Google Pay with the click of a button and pay at any physical store with their mobile phone. This payment method is convenient, fast, and also environmentally friendly.

Viva Wallet implemented the integration and enabled this feature only a few hours after the official launch of the new pioneering service eGov-KYC of the Ministry of Digital Reform, following the initiative of the Greek Minister of State and Digital Government, Mr. Kyriakos Pierrakakis.

The purpose of the eGov-KYC online service is to digitise the procedures and the data verification from the customers to the payment institutions, saving citizens time, money, and hassle, as they do not need to submit documentation.

It is also noted that Viva Wallet already practices the digital verification process of individuals by video conference, in accordance with the provisions of the regulatory framework (ΠΕΕ 172/2020), offering security and direct digital activation of its services to its customers.
